Peter Hamer

Professor Peter Hamer is head of the School of Physiotherapy at the University of Notre Dame - Fremantle. Peter was formerly the Program Leader in Physiotherapy at the Auckland University of Technology, his doctoral studies at UWA investigated the in vivo tissue response to delayed muscle soreness. His research interests span the range of tissue mechanics, biochemical response to injury and tissue repair. Professor Hamer is a Fellow of the Australian Sports Medicine Federation and a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, the International Society of Biomechanics, the Australian Association for Exercise & Sports Science and Sports Medicine Australia.
